Wadeye Art Gallery
The store refurbished the original store building and turned it into an art gallery where the artists of Wadeye could sell their art. Although this proved popular to a few interstate buyers it was poorly supported within the community.
All art presented to the gallery were purchased immediately from the artist on an agreed amount usually in the region of $200 + . Any sale‘s made on the artworks a further 50% was given back to the artist as balance payment to his or her work. Some of our most popular artists were Timothy Dumoo who was starting to command up to $3000 per 2 mtr paintings and Georgina Parmbuk for her stunning depictions of water and Barra art. Unfortunately due to the lack of support, the gallery failed to make any money to function and closed its doors. The artists now have no where but the streets to sell their art to the few in Wadeye who may purchase.

Our newly extended supermarket has now come into the age of technology. The locals have likened it to a mini KMart.
